Reflective writing about art

Today I drew a beach with a pohutukawa tree in the background. After that I painted it in fully so that there were no white spaces.
The reason why I Chose these colours because it makes it stand out and make it look nice. The flowers were looking good. I tried to do my best.
Mrs young didn't have enough black paint because she ran out. We had to use old black that looked like jelly. It didn't turn out nice but it did the job.
I enjoyed drawing the pohutukawa tree because It took me the longest time detailing the tree.

Next time I will like to get a certificate and detail my picture and get my picture displayed in the hall or even in the art room

My loving dad!

The best person in the world has grey spiky hair. He is over 50 and I love him so much. He has a brown face, brown body and brown puppy eyes. Guess who that is? It’s my....... DAD!

My dad plays with the dog, a lot! He goes to work at 7 am in the morning 6 days a week. After work he listens to music. Mostly every day. He is fun to laugh with and we talk about my rugby game!

Sometimes my dad helps me make muffins that taste BEAUTIFUL! When I am watching TV with my brother, I often hear him calling, “I need help to put icing on the cake!”

Whenever I give him my portfolio he says, “Well done son,” and he writes beautiful comments. He is kind and cares about me. He is a great dad.

Beach poem

Sea gulls squealing to talk to their friends like a bird mob.
Fish swimming in muddy water to protect itself from predators.
Trees swaying side to side like a twirling tornado.
Kids playing games on the beach.

Deep holes to play hide and seek, the best place to hide.
Waves crashing, falling, breaking to pieces to reunite.

I thought it was a wonderful day.
